Former Yankee and Cub star Bobby Mercer has
passed away. He fought a tough battle with cancer since being diagnosed
with a brain tumor in 2006. Mercer was a fine player and to those who
knew him, he was even a finer person. For the most of the last two
decades Mercer was a popular broadcaster with the Yankees.
May Mr. Mercer rest in peace.
